The actual mansion which was dismantled and moved has been \u00a0created with some remodeling between 1566 -1611.\u00a0This\u00a0historic house has very similar history of origin as his\u00a0neighbor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alfoart.com\/phototravel\/richmond-agecroft-hall\/\">Agecroft Hall<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 Here is the original location of the<span style=\"color: #252525;\">\u00a0\u00a0Warwick Priory:<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ie=UTF8&amp;fb=1&amp;gl=us&amp;sll=52.285144,-1.586788&amp;sspn=0.0201623,0.0439461&amp;cid=15707219921346911757&amp;q=Warwickshire+County+Record+Office&amp;hq=&amp;hnear=&amp;t=h&amp;iwloc=A&amp;ll=52.285144,-1.586788&amp;spn=0.006295,0.006295&amp;output=embed\" width=\"728\" height=\"250\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Original \u00a0Priory \u00a0 was a\u00a0heritage of \u00a0a succession of buildings has stood on the low sandstone hill to the north of Warwick for nearly <strong>900 years<\/strong>. \u00a0Now this site is occupied by the <a href=\"http:\/\/heritage.warwickshire.gov.uk\/warwickshire-county-record-office\/\">County Record Office<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>At the time when first manor was built, \u00a0his <span style=\"color: #383b40;\">owner Thomas Hawkins\u00a0\u00a0(Fisher) entertained there the newly crowned Elizabeth I. \u00a0The mansion of 1566, was named\u00a0\u201cHawkyns Nest\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>In the mid-19th century, the manor\u00a0was purchased by the Lloyds Bank family who put it\u00a0up for sale at <strong>auction in 1925<\/strong>. \u00a0House was sold to\u00a0 Alexander W. Weddell, a wealthy American diplomat.<\/li>\n<li>Rebuilding on the new place in Richmond, VA\u00a0began on November 6, 1925 and the structure was officially turned over several months before the stock market crash in 1929.<\/li>\n<li>The american owners Weddells lived at Virginia House until their deaths in a train accident in 1948.
