Image > Mode > Lab Color ( Don't merge!)
- Repeat these actions for background layer.
- Make color parts using soft brush, vector mask and the bottom layer.
- Make the beautiful wool like in the example here.
- Create a new layer.
- Gradient Tool (black/transparent).
- Change layer on multiply and add vector mask.
- Create white areas using black soft brush in vector mask.
- Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur (4-5).
- Draw stars in new layer.
- Finish editing by Filter > Distort > Diffuse Glow.
